Fri 27 CFCA DRAG RACING, Orlando Speed World, East Hwy 50, Bithlo, 6 PM. Cost is $10 to watch + $5 to race. Racers must where long pants and closed toe shoes. Helmets required for faster cars. Meet at 5:45 PM to depart by 6 PM at old Builder's Square parking lot next to Krystal's Restaurant on Rouse Rd and Colonial Hwy 50. Sat 20 12 HOURS AT SEBRING, Sebring International Raceway. CFCA will meet at the Cracker Barrell on 417 and OBT at 3:00 AM (yes, 3 AM!) on Saturday, March 20. Departure will be 3:30 AM (it's about a 2-hr drive) to ensure parking availability in the Corvette Corral. Parking is first-come/first-serve. Tickets for the race are $65 each (in advance) and there is a $10 parking fee. After February 28, tickets go up to $75. CFCA Chairperson - Gary Dzikowski.
Sat 20 CRUISERS FOR KIDS CAR SHOW. Waterford Lakes Town Center, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cars, motorcycles, trucks, vendors, games, drawings, auctions, DJ. Proceeds support several Orlando area children's charities, including The Russell Home for Atypical Children. CFCA meets across from the mall at the Home Depot on Alafaya Trail and EW Expressway 408 at 8:30 AM. Details at CFCA Chairperson - BJ LaMontagne.
Sun 21 CORVETTES RUN FOR THE RUSSELL HOME. CFCA's first Annual fun run for the Russell Home. Sponsored by CFCA, we will meet at Cypress Park on Holden Avenue next to the Russell Home (click here for a map). Registration starts at 8:30 AM and ends at 10 AM sharp. Cost is $15 per Corvette with 100% of the proceeds to support The Russell Home for Atypical Children. This year's run is for CFCA club members only. The driver of the Corvette must be a CFCA member, passenger does not have to be a member. Note: The Orlando chapter of the Harley Owners Group is holding their annual run in support of the Russell Home at the same time but ours is a separate event. Our Corvettes will not be intermixed with the motorcycles during the cruise and will depart immediately after they do. Sat 22 CFCA ANNIVERSARY PARTY. Never fear, when it comes to "stepping up to the plate" we can count on a fellow club member to pull us through. And the Anniversary Party is no exception. Don & Betty Ashe (club members since 1976) have graciously offered for the club to come out to the park near their home outside of Geneva, FL. This park is part of the home association where they live and has plenty of room for us. There is a shelter, tables, electricity, volleyball net, horseshoes, lake, boat ramp, etc... Please be prepared to bring a side dish, salad, or dessert plus your lawn chairs and of course, a door prize. You may also bring you boat, fishing poles, favorite games, cameras, oh, and sun screen. Sat 5 CFCA MYSTERY CRUISE. We will depart from the Cracker Barrel in Hunter's Creek (OBT & 417) at 9:00 AM (come early if you want to have breakfast first). Bring money for lunch and your FRS radios or cell phones to stay in touch during the cruise. CFCA Chairpersons - Arch Simonson and Bill York.

JULY 2004
Sat 3 HUNTER'S CREEK 4TH OF JULY PARADE. CFCA meeting time is 9:00 a.m. at the old K-Mart parking lot at Town Center Blvd and John Young Parkway. Following the parade, we are invited to attend the festivities in Osprey Park. We may also be displaying our cars and promoting CFCA during the festivities. All Corvettes, including hardtops/Z06s are welcome to participate. Decorate the cars, and bring the kids/grandkids. Sat 10 ECKLER'S STERLING CASINO CRUISE. Sponsored by Eckler's Corvette Parts and Accessories. Depart from Eckler's on US Hwy 1 in Titusville at 5:30 PM, drive to the pier and board casino boat at 6:00 PM. Door Prizes to be given away at midnight in Captain's Lounge (exclusive for Eckler's guests). Free food on board, free drinks for gamblers. You must call 321-385-1113 by July 2nd to register.

FCC cars will be in the show competition this year. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Trophies + best of show, peoples choice, merchants choice. Over 55 Trophys to be awarded - 5 in each Class. Sun 1 RUSSELL HOME VISIT. CFCA will be meeting at the Road House Grill (on Oange Ave & Michigan) on Sunday August 1st @ 11:00am for Lunch and then a driveout to the Russell Home @ 1pm. Feel free to bring donations of household goods, cleaning supplies, toys, books, etc, as they will be greatly appreciated.
Thu 19 CFCA DINNER MEETING AT THE CADDY SHACK ON I-DRIVE, 7 P.M.. Join your fellow club members for a relaxed time of dinner and good conversation next Thursday evening at the new Caddyshack restaurant on International Drive. The physical address is 5250 however the best way to describe it is that it is attached to the Festival Bay Mall which is located at the corner of International Drive and Oak Ridge Rd. The restaurant is near the Ron Jon's surf shop. By the way, the The Outdoor World/Bass Pro shop is located in the same mall just for a reference point....

CORVETTES AT CARLISLE, Carlisle, PA. One of the nation's largest Corvette shows and THE largest Corvette swap meet. Acres and acres of vendors, loads and loads of fun. Some CFCA members are traveling to this year's event by way of the AutoTrain, departing Sanford, FL on Thu, Aug 26th. The AutoTrain stops outside Wash D.C. then a 2 hour drive to Carlisle, PA. FLORIDA CORVETTE RACING CLUB AUTOCROSSThe Florida Corvette Racing Club will hold their second sanctioned autocross event of 2004 at the Florida State Fairgrounds on October 23 & 24. They expect a great turnout for this event, so please register early to assure a spot. They will verify your position by email, and if you are not among the first 50, will hold your check and put you on a waiting list. Sat 6 SILVER SPRINGS CORVETTES SHOW, Ocala (Silver Springs), FL. The 7th Annual Corvette show at Silver Springs sponsored by the Corvette Club of Marion County. Each car registration includes two tickets to Silver Springs with full access to the park for the day of the show. Additional tickets are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children. First 150 cars receive a commemorative dash plaque. Door prizes given throughout the day. Judging by peoples choice. Trophies awarded at 3:00 PM. Sat 4 CFCA CHRISTMAS PARTY. Our big formal event of the year! Fine dining, member recognition, awards, prizes, and loads of fun! This year's event will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel on Kirkman Rd. across from Universal Studios (formerly Twin Towers). Sat 4 4TH ANNUAL TOY RUN, sponsored by the Brevard County Corvette Club, Eckler's, and the Port Canaveral Cove Association. Meet at Eckler's at 12 p.m. Caravan departs at 2:30 p.m. en route to Port Canaveral. Fast Eddie will be providing music at Eckler's. Suggested donation is one unwrapped toy and book with a $15 minimum combined value. Gift certificates are also welcomed. The toys will be helping the disadvantaged children of Brevard county ages infant – 18 years old. A social will be held following at Ryan's Portside Bar and Grill.
