A&W DRIVEOUT. Remember that hot, sunny day when you rode your bicycle to the neighborhood A & W to get a thirst quenching, cold root beer in a frosted mug? Well, let's bring back some of those memories with a Corvette Drive-Out to the A & W on highway 50 in Clermont. 2:00 - meet at the West Oaks Mall, Ocoee, by Sears, west entrance. 2:30 - follow the leader as we depart for a beautiful loop drive, ending up at A & W around 4:00 pm for food and drink and conversation (on north side of street, next to Target). 54TH ANNUAL 12 HOURS OF SEBRING. The 54th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring takes the green flag at 10:30 am Saturday, March 18. Gates open Wednesday, March 15, and remain open 24 hours a day through Saturday. Special Corvette Corral ticket packages are available through Sebring International Raceway (website www.sebringraceway.com). You MUST have one of these special tickets to park in the Corvette Corral. Cost is $178 for two one-day Supertickets and one car entry into the Corvette Corral when ordered before February 28. Four-day tickets can also be purchased. Tickets must be ordered by phone or by US Mail. Call 1-800-626-RACE or (863) 655-1442 to order. When ordering be sure to request the Corvette Corral tickets. The ticket will be stamped to show entry into the corral. Since they don't verify Corvette ownership over the phone, you must show up with a Corvette in addition to the special ticket. We have no specifics yet on the corral itself and what will be offered. CFCA will meet at 4:00 a.m. (gulp!) at the Hunter's Creek Cracker Barrel off Hwy 441 to depart at 4:30 for the races. FANTASY OF FLIGHT DRIVEOUT. Note the new departure location: CFCA will meet at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant on US27, north of I-4, exit 55. It's called Davenport Store No. 532. We will meet at this location at 9:00 a.m. and depart at 9:15 a.m. If you want breakfast, you're welcome to arrive earlier and partake. We'll most likely stop in for coffee / juice / restrooms. THE GATHERING AT THE NCM. Annual ZR-1/Grand Sport/C4 Gathering at the National Corvette Museum, Bowling Green, KY. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the last C4s, the Collector Edition and the Grand Sports (as of this writing, over 30 Grand Sports are scheduled to attend!). The weekend will consist of drag racing, road tours, specialty seminars and an original Grand Sport on display. CFCA CAR AND TRUCK SHOW AT CLASSIC CHEVROLET. Classic Cheverolet & Gavin Hutchinson have agreed to team with Premium Car Shows to hold a Car and Truck Show on the Classic property Sat, June 3rd. CFCA should arrive by 8:00 a.m. CFCA members are requested to go to any auto related supplier or parts & service companys to ask for Trophy Sponsorhips at $20 each or they can have a space for $60 (3 trophys). Try not to line up any competitors of Classic) Not good! If anyone would be willing to volunteer for a shift during the day please come forward. Or if you know of someone who could prepare & sell food please forward the contact info. We're suggesting a flat fee of $1 per car for the franchise. Be sure to ask any food provider or vendor who wishes to have space on the Classic property to be prepared to provide proof of liability insurance. All moneys collected above and part of the registration fee will come back to CFCA. LOTS OF TROPHIES TO BE AWARDED! $20 pre-registration fee, $25 day of show. CHRIS CRUZ ARTISTRY DRIVEOUT. CFCA will meet at 9:30 a.m. at Volcano's Coffee Shop in the Longwood Village Shopping center. The shop is less than an 1/8th of a mile east of I-4 on the north side of 434. From I-4 take exit 94 for SR 434 and go east on 434. At the 1st light (ABC store & Boston Market) turn into the Longwood Village Shopping center. Volcanos is on the far west side of the plaza (to the west of Crispers and close to Boston Market). Arrive early if you want to grab a bite to eat. At 9:45 a.m. we will take a leisurely drive to visit auto and motorcycle artist extraordinairre, Chris Cruz, at his facility at 1622 Parade Circle, DeLand, Florida 32724 (www.chriscruz.com). Chris has promised to have several examples of his recent work on display and you might even get to see the master at work, or at least, schedule an appointment. Afterwards, we'll take a leisurely 20-30 min drive to Aster, FL and the Blackwater Inn, a great place for lunch on the St John's River. Come join us!

CFCA HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA! CFCA'S Christmas Party is our big formal event of the year! Fine dining, member recognition, awards, prizes, fun! This year's event will be one to remember for years to come. It will be held at the Radisson University Hotel, 1724 Alafaya Trail (located just north of Colonial Hwy 50) in eastern Orlando. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. with an "Open Bar" (yep, you read it right) followed by a fabulous dinner (Turkey, Prime Rib, and all the fixin's) with live entertainment by White Rose. A special room rate of $69 has been arranged for CFCA Members. Contact Kathy Hall when you call for reservations. There will also be a marked area for Corvette parking only with a security guard on site.
